Christmas 2008

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! It has been so great being home and spending time with family! Here are some fun pictures of our Christmas season.....
The kids and I had fun decorating the Christmas Tree. I think Jarom's eating a candy cane. :)

CHRISTMAS EVE was so much fun! We've had a lot of snow -- perfect for sledding. While Justin was "rigging" up our lawn mower for sledding, our next door neighbors had pity on the kids. There yard is AWESOME for sledding - especially when you have a 4-wheeler. The kids had a blast. Ryan (our neighbor) made sure the kids biffed it a few times. LOL

I'm afraid the lawn mower is nothing in comparison with a 4-wheeler ha ha. But....I had fun!!

Oh yeah, baby....heading down the street! Amber kept saying, "Go Faster". Yeah, right LOL! I had the pedal to the metal!

Shortly before the kids went to bed, we did a Nativity Scene. It was a little thrown together, but the kids had fun.

Okay, so we didn't want the kids to come upstairs in the middle of the night. So Justin put together this little barricade. It was hilarious!!! The kids still managed to get through without making noise!! They were pretty determined. I don't think they slept at all that night.

Christmas Morning --- about 6:15 a.m.

Amber got an American Girl doll from Santa.

Ethan got a Nintendo DS from Santa.

Seth got a Transformer from Santa.

Jarom got a CARS Magna Doodle from Santa.

Seth and Jarom got a Train Set from us. Jarom hasn't stopped playing with it. He loves it!

I bought Justin Guitar Hero. Kayla was right, it's awesome!!

Jace was 8 weeks old on Christmas day. He's getting big so fast! He's starting to smile now. He is so much fun!!!

I couldn't resist putting this picture of Seth on here. The first few days after we brought Jace home, Seth was obsessed with this little baby doll. When I was taking pictures of Jace, he wanted me to take this picture of him.

I hope you all have a WONDERFUL New Year!!

Baby is here! * Halloween * Birthday

Jace Thomas Hale is here! Yay!!! We are so happy to have that done! I went in to the Doctor on Thursday at about 10:30. I was dilated at a 5. The doc said to come back in a couple of hours to see if I had progressed any further. We went to Toys R Us and to lunch and I told Justin we should just go to the hospital because I was feeling some pressure. So we went to the hospital and I was dilated to a 6. To make a short story shorter, we had the baby at 3:59 p.m. with very little effort. It was the best labor ever!! Jace weighed 7 lbs. 0 oz. and was 19 1/2" long -- my biggest baby yet. He tested Coombs+ which means that some of my blood got in him and vice versa and we have two different blood types. Basically it just means it causes jaundice and they need to keep a close eye on it. So he's on a billi blanket and he glows. :) Hopefully we'll be able to get rid of it soon. It's kind of a nuisance. Here are some pics:

Jace had to go under the "light" and so had to have a cover for his eyes. Cute!! I couldn't stop laughing when they brought him in with these on.

Here we are at home. I took these pictures today. He's been a little more awake today. Let's hope this trend continues. He's been waking up like every hour to hour and a half at night.

I couldn't resist this picture. Jarom was helping "Grandma" mop the floor.

The night Jace was born, Amber had a Piano Recital. She was so worried that Justin wasn't going to be able to take her. :) I told her not to worry about it -- he would be there. LOL

Ethan's Birthday was on Halloween. He had a good day. He got to go see the new baby, go trick or treating, open present, and have cake. :)

Amber (Fairy), Ethan (Knight), Seth (Pirate)

Jarom (Cowboy) with Grandma.

Broken Camera - After Church

Our camera broke. Grr.... It was a really nice camera, too. After reading MANY reviews about the camera, we found out that after about two years the viewfinder just goes black and won't take pictures. Of course, our two years are up and we just found that out. LOL I'm just glad that Justin got the camera out last night to take a picture. That would have been horrible to get to the hospital to have a new baby and have a broken camera!! So....Justin went to Wal-Mart last night for a new one. Needless to say the old one is now just a "piece of junk", but the kids still love playing with it.
Here is Ethan playing with the old camera...

The kids looked so cute in their church clothes today that I had to test out the new camera. :)

Seth loves to show his muscles.....
HEY!!! Look what's on the T.V. LOL -- I am an addict!!

This is Jarom saying "Cheese", but I was too late pushing down the shutter button.....

Ethan didn't go to church today because he was sick -- he's been coughing like crazy!

I had a Doctor's appointment this past Friday. I'd been up quite a bit on Wednesday and Thursday, hoping to start labor. He told me to "get back down" because he doesn't want me to have this baby until 38 weeks. Whatever! LOL Oh well! What's one more week, 'eh?

Boxing

So I've been on bed rest now for 8 1/2 weeks and I haven't updated my blog in that entire time. I'm not sure why. LOL Maybe it's because I'm addicted to the Fox News Channel and watch it all day. :) Just ask my Mom and my Manager. Oh yeah...and Justin. He's getting pretty sick of it. He's always saying, "Isn't there anything else on?" ha ha

Anyhow, a couple of weeks ago Justin was folding laundry and the boys were "helping". They put folded socks on their hands and started boxing. It was pretty hilarious. Here are some pics:

What do you think? Should I get them some boxing gloves for Christmas? I remember when my Mom bought my brothers some boxing gloves (red) and they loved it.

I had a Doctor's appointment today. He said I was "measuring just right -- not too big, not too small. Just where you need to be." I was thinking, Yeah, right, I'm freaking huge! What do you think? LOL

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow. After next week I'm taking myself off bed rest. This is driving me crazy!! I need to get out of this house! :)

First Day of School

Today is Amber and Ethan's first day of school. They were so excited. They got up at like 5:30 this morning. Amber is in 3rd Grade and Ethan is in 1st Grade. Ethan is in the blue jacket and Amber is in the Orange jacket.

So today it's just me, Jarom, Seth, and I'm watching my nephew, Colten. It's going to be weird!

Fun at Bear Lake

The Hale Family Reunion was last weekend in Bear Lake. It was so much fun! The kids got to play with cousins and I got to beat everyone at Turbo Scrabble & Yahtzee. Just Kidding! Tanya beat me. :) We left on Wednesday afternoon and came back home Sunday morning. It was great to get away. Here are some fun pictures:

After we got home on Sunday we lounged out on the couch. All of the boys wanted to lay down by me. So cute!

Fun Sunday!

So I decided to make home-made eclairs on Sunday. Dang, they were good. :) They didn't last very long. The kids enjoyed them!
Of course Jarom got the messiest. He ate 3.

After we had our little treat we all went outside and the kids were riding their bikes. You can see from this picture that we actually have grass now -- even though it's extremely weedy. :)

So Justin was playing around with the kids and he was riding Amber's scooter. He decided to try and take a small jump from the driveway onto the grass -- there was a small slope and he was going to jump over it -- or something. LOL Anyway, I'm not sure what exactly happened but he ended up flying over the scooter and slid across the ground a little bit. At first it didn't seem like he would be hurt but he wasn't moving. So I ran over to him and he was TOTALLY out of it. I think he had been knocked out. He didn't look "with it" at all. Anyway, it took a minute before he was able to sit up. His face was totally bloody on the one side. When he slid across the ground it scraped up his face pretty good. The weird thing is that Justin doesn't remember any of it. He doesn't remember coming into the house, he doesn't remember me taking pictures..nothing. LOL We can laugh about it now but it kind of freaked me out!

Here is Justin right after he cleaned his face up. He's been very sore since Sunday. He was hardly able to move his neck yesterday.

We're Having a Boy

We found out two weeks ago that we're having a baby boy! Not really a surprise. LOL So I'm feeling a little stressed out thinking about having 4 little boys right in a row. It's going to be fun and challenging, I'm sure!

So awhile ago I was curious what would come up if I did a google search for "lanae hale". I found out that there is a pretty amazing musician with my same name. :) Check it out: http://www.lanaehale.com/. I actually went to iTunes and bought her CD. It's really good. She's a Christian musician.

Our yard is finally in!!

Yea!! Our yard is finally in. It took almost 3 weeks for the landscapers to finish -- kind of frustrating considering they said it would take 4 days -- 5 days max. Oh well! I'm just happy to have it done. No more dusty shoes!

School is almost over! Amber & Ethan will be finished by next Thursday (the 22nd). Amber wants to stay in school because she loves it and loves Math! Ethan's pretty excited to be finished.

I'm looking forward to the summer. We have some fun things planned. For Memorial weekend we will be going to Island Park with the Hale Family. It's a family tradition and Justin and I have gone every year since we got engaged. The week after is Haydn's baptism (Delon & Amy's son). Then the next weekend Derek is getting married. Hurray! We're so excited to have Samantha in the family. We will be having our immediate Mortimer Family reunion that same weekend. It's going to be super busy, but fun!! At the end of June we'll be headed to Salt Lake for Megan's (Dennis & Cheryl's daughter) wedding. We're looking forward to it. Then in August we're having the immediate Hale Family reunion in Bear Lake. It's going to be awesome! Kari & Steve will be coming with their kids (from CA) which will be great because we don't get to see them very often.

Our little Hale Family will be adding another Hale-ion to the family in November. :) Well honestly it will probably be in October, but the baby's due date is November 13th. I'm hoping with my fast and crazy labor history the doctor will let me be started at 37 weeks. One can only hope. :)

Business is going great! We've been staying very very busy! People love ribbon and that's all I'm gonna say. LOL

Here's to a great summer........
